A BIBLICAL ANNOUNCEMENT
As I wake from thy slumber, cast a great cloud bringing reckless untold damage. My islands face the cold wrath of her holiness, Oki.
My faith is my shield and my sword is my compass, whom shall be in my way will lead me to my quest. Treachery surrounds me, prison will not suffice their sins, nor shall it quench my thirst for victory.
The I.I.C awoke the next morning and was pulverised by harsh storms. Winds swept away discarded food and waste, wooden planks were lifted away from where they lay and house roofs held on by a thread. The relentless rain poured down and the waves rose to horrifying heights that combined with the dark overlay of cloud. It was not an ideal day for an announcement to take place, but Sebastian knew he had to face danger in the eye (In this case, given from the goddess Oki) and not be afraid. He got dressed in his usual manor, even as his bedroom window refused to stay shut. Skipping the hat and instead placing the Oki necklace around his neck, Sebastian awaited patiently for his entourage to arrive. As his father remained missing, General Lacroix would be by his side at all times. Sebastian felt liberated, the first speech he would give without his father by his side. His input was no longer necessary, the young leader could no convey his strong message of inspiration without any distraction. His distractions had been rounded up and thrown below him in the castle cellar, there was no need to spoil the fun anymore. Just then the door opened after a small knock, General Lacroix greeted the captain but seemed uncertain if he wanted to go through with this.
âYes. It is happening, General. Even if this storm calms down or not, Iâm still getting up that podium.â
âAs you wish, captain.â
âHow was the first round of interrogations?â Sebastian asked.
âRoutine. But they all had a familiar story which they refused to stray away from. Your father was mentioned as a ring leader, but no-one knows where he is. Everybody believes that Robertson went against what your father ordered.â
Sebastian stood solemnly. Disappointed in his fatherâs plot of escape, yet impressed that he was the elusive one to turn his back on his governing counterparts. A sacrifice? Sebastian knew there were people who would do anything for a payment, it seemed the search would have to be more extensive.
âLetâs leave that for later shall we? I have my people to address.â With that, the pair walked out from his captainâs bedroom and along the halls till they reached the upper floor of the castle. Atop the highest floor was a large open rooftop room that had no walls sectioning it. No windows, just a wide half circle opening up to the balcony that looked down below. As Sebastian and Lacroix walked in, the door behind them shut as they looked round to see the emptiness of the floor.
